NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Users of New Hanover County’s website will be greeted with a completely new look and functionality the next time they check www.nhcgov.com. New Hanover County Public Affairs is pleased to announce the completion of the total redevelopment of the website. The site will be launched overnight, tonight.
Viewers will see eight ‘buckets’ containing all programs and services offered by New Hanover County and its partner agencies. Departments and services are then categorized by bucket. A new toolbar has been added to the top of the page with quick links to forms, contacts and calendar of events.
A consistent and streamlined framework for quick navigation, easy to find resources and enhanced links will improve the overall level of service for the site. The first partial roll-out of new webpages began in February of this year. Over 1.2 million visits to the site were logged last year.
“The final phase represents many months of hard work and rethinking of processes and how information is shared to optimize the way our customers receive and utilize information,” said Carey Disney Ricks, New Hanover County Public Affairs Manager who initiated this project in 2013. “New Hanover County now has a brand new site that better organizes information and provides new and exciting tools to keep citizens engaged and informed.
