NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – On Wednesday, Oct. 29, the City of Wilmington and New Hanover County will hold two informational meetings about the results of a feasibility study to potentially consolidate city and county fire services. The study, performed by Emergency Services Consulting International (ESCI), was released earlier this month. Both meetings are open to the public.
2-3:30 p.m. at Halyburton Park, 4099 S 17th St.
6-7:30 p.m. at New Hanover County Government Center, Human Resources Training Room, 230 Government Center Dr.
At the meetings, ESCI representative Kent Greene will provide an overview of findings in the report, take citizen feedback on the report, and answer questions. ESCI is scheduled to present their final presentation to the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 17 and to City Council on Nov. 18. View the draft report from ESCI.
