North Carolina Film and Television Resolution
The Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution to assist local delegation in advocating and supporting the North Carolina General Assembly in its efforts to provide either tax credits or grants for the film industry.. Click here to watch this item.
CFCC: Advanced and Emerging Technologies Buildings
In response to questions previously raised about the necessity of the north campus facilities, college president Dr. Ted Spring presented the rationale of the college and administration for going forward with the Advanced and Emerging Technologies buildings. Although a contract has been awarded, its execution is contingent on the Board of Commissioners agreeing to fund to the project through the sale of community college bonds authorized by the voters in 2008. Property for future Myrtle Grove Library
Commissioners approved the purchase of 2.95 acres, located at 3802 South College Road, for the negotiated price of $444,000. Design of the new Myrtle Grove Library is expected to take place in FY2016-17 with construction commencing in FY2017-18. Click here to watch this item.
Castle Hayne Park Improvements Resolution
The Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution awarding a contract to Norris Construction Grading & Paving, Inc. for Castle Hayne Park improvements. Reappraisal of County Real Property Records
Commissioners awarded a contract to Tyler Technologies in the amount of $1,092,000 to conduct the reappraisal of all residential, agricultural, commercial, exempt and industrial real property in the county. Click here to watch this item.
