Need something to do with the kids during Spring Break? Cape Fear Museum has fun, hands-on science activities planned for each day the week of March 29, 2015.

Free for members or with Museum admission
Venture into the cosmos and take a virtual journey of the solar system during our SkyQuest program! Space is limited.

WAVE IT!
Monday, March 30 (Anytime 12 PM – 4:00 PM)
Free for members or with Museum admission
Investigate the science of light, sound, and ocean movement with fun, hands-on experiments!

PLANT IT!
Tuesday, March 31 (Anytime 10 AM – 3:30 PM)
Free for everyone!
Enjoy a family day featuring hands-on nature and conservation activities with the following partners: Cape Fear Raptor Center, Halyburton Park, NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, National Weather Service, New Hanover County Environmental Management, Parks and Gardens, and Public Library, UNCW CESTEM, and UNCW WiSE. Cape Fear Museum will break ground for its Outdoor Learning Environment at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place adjacent to the Museum at the corner of 8th and Market Streets.

Unleash your destructive forces as you make it and break it!

FLIP IT!
Thursday, April 2 (Anytime 12 PM – 4:00 PM)
Free for members or with Museum admission
Create artistic mirror images, explore paper shapes, and make a mini-movie flipbook to take home.

SQUISH IT!
Friday, April 3 (Anytime 12 PM – 4:00 PM)
Free for members or with Museum admission
Use your senses and your imagination to produce mushy, slimy, gurgling concoctions!

Appropriate for ages five and up. Parental participation is required.
