Airlie Kicks off Concert Series Next Week

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Airlie Gardens has unveiled its slate of musical performers for the 2015 Summer Concert Series. True to tradition, a concert will take place every first and third Friday of the month from May until September. Along with returning favorites, though, this year’s program will offer several new local acts, including The Midatlantic Band, Boba Funk, and The Other Guys.

“We love seeing people of all ages enjoying great music in such a beautiful setting,” Airlie Gardens’ Development Manager Janine Powell said. “All of us here look forward to shaking off the winter and welcoming summer in such a fun way.”

The schedule includes returning acts that most regulars now expect and demand, including L Shape Lot and The Imitations. In addition, guests will have the chance to experience several new bands. The schedule concludes with more performers that already have played against the unique backdrop that is Airlie.

The Summer Concert Series has grown to become a staple of summer fun in Wilmington, According to Powell, “Every year the Concert Series grows, proving to us that families still value spreading out a blanket, eating yummy snacks and enjoying good music on summer nights in Wilmington, so let the countdown begin!” Concerts are held from 6-8pm.
