Wilmington VA Health Care Center Water Sample Results

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – The New Hanover County Health Department and Cape Fear Public Utility Authority advise that results from water samples collected at the Wilmington VA Health Center early this week continue to show elevated levels of copper. Lead content was found below the limits established by the federal Safe Drinking Water Act.

The test results for the August 17 samples are attached. The results that come in above Action Levels for copper are on the last of the pages of data (page 8), Exam Room 1086. The Action level for copper is 1.300 mg/L; the results came in at 1.73 mg/L.
