WILMINGTON, N.C. – Oh no, something mysterious has happened at the Museum! Cape Fear Museum of History and Science needs your help cracking a curious case of “whodunit?”

Families are asked to become super sleuths, search for clues, and conduct scientific investigation to solve an all new Mystery at the Museum Saturday, January 23 between 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (last ticket sold at 3:00).

The Museum Store appears to have been robbed! What happened to all the toys, books, and souvenirs? Was it a conspiracy between the former Museum Director and former Store Manager? Did a band of pirates steal all the loot? Maybe robots raided the place. Use forensic science, logic, and your imagination to help us solve the latest Mystery at the Museum.

Analyze fingerprints, compare blood types, conduct chromatography experiments, and investigate microscopic skin samples. Create an alias and practice detective strategies. Think you know the culprit? Report your observations to New Hanover County Sheriff Ed McMahon and District Attorney Ben David. Mystery at the Museum is a part of the Creativity Garden- a nationwide project of the Association of Science-Technology Centers, generously sponsored by Disney.

Mystery at the Museum is fun for all ages. Parental participation is required. The program is free for Museum members, $7 per non-member, which includes Museum admission. *Note, the museum will close at 12:00 p.m. for set-up and will re-open at 1:00 p.m.
