Cape Fear Hospice to assist New Hanover County through training partnership

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – New Hanover County partners with Cape Fear Hospice and Life Center to offer staff development training

There are many practitioners and public servants of county government that encounter critical incidents involving death and dying while serving the citizens of New Hanover County.

Through a partnership with Cape Fear Hospice and Life Center, employees will receive training on the grief process, dealing with critical incidents, examining resources for sharing and working through major life issues related to death and dying, as well as helping others in these situations.

“We are thankful to be able to meet the needs of our employees and their ability to serve the citizens through garnering expertise in our community in partnerships like this,” said New Hanover County Human Resources Director Mark Francolini.

The seminar based training is being offered to all County employees at no charge to the County.

New Hanover County is committed to improving the quality of the lives of its citizens by providing superior public health, safety and education.
