Museum Offers Family Programs During Holiday Break

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Need something for kids to do while on holiday break from school? Put down the phone, turn off the TV, and explore history and science at Cape Fear Museum! Activities offered each day the week of December 28, 2014.

Sunday, December 28 (1:30, 2:30, & 3:30 PM)
Venture into the cosmos and take a virtual journey of the solar system during our SkyQuest program.

Monday, December 29 (Anytime 10 AM – 3:30 PM)
Create crazy concoctions, explore chemical reactions, and investigate slimy polymers.

Tuesday, December 30 (Anytime 10 AM – 3:30 PM)
Put your design and engineering skills to the test with hands-on building challenges and games.

Wednesday, December 31 (Anytime 10 AM – 3:30 PM)
Explore coded messages, investigate artifacts, and discover history from pirates to the present.

Thursday, January 1: Museum closed – Happy New Year!

Friday, January 2 (Anytime 10 AM – 3:30 PM)
Investigate the physics of flight as you make objects balance, glide, and soar into the air!

Appropriate for ages five and up. Admission is free for members or with Museum admission. Parental participation is required.
