Service Awards and Introduction of New Employees

Audit Report for Fiscal Year 2013-14
The New Hanover County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fiscal year 2013-14 was presented to the Board by audit partner Paula Hodges of Martin Starnes & Associates.  Click here to watch this item.

Board of Education Budget Amendment
The Board of Commissioners approved the capital outlay fund budget amendment, submitted by the Board of Education, establishing the budget for the $160 million bond approved by the voters in Nov. 2014.    Click here to watch this item.

CFCC: General Obligation Bonds
Commissioners gave their approval for staff to begin the process to issue the remaining needed general obligation bonds to construct and equip a new Advanced & Emerging Technologies center at CFCC’s North Campus.  The project is estimated to cost $38.5 million.  Click here to watch this item.

Storm Damage Reduction Project for Wrightsville Beach
Commissioners gave their approval for County staff to move forward with permitting the Wrightsville Beach Coastal Storm Reduction Project.  This local authorization will provide the County with an additional option in the event of a federal or state funding shortfall.  Click here to watch this item.

Water Quality Monitoring Annual Report
The Board of Commissioners received a presentation on water quality monitoring for the seven monitored creeks in the unincorporated area of the County.  The report included data collected in fiscal year 2013-14 as well as trends from past monitoring years.  Click here to watch this item.
