NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Gather up your family and friends and head over to Airlie Gardens on Saturday, July 25th from 5-8pm for a magical evening of food, fun and fanciful sculptures. Family Fun Night, featuring the 2015 Summer Art Exhibit: Guardians of the Garden, is a special after hours event where both the young and young at heart can enjoy:
This special event costs just $5/person in advance and $9/person on event day, but space is limited so buy your tickets today! Tickets can be purchased at Airlie Gardens Monday through Friday 9am-4:30pm or online at www.airliegardens.org. Children ages three and older must purchase a ticket.
Guardians of the Garden is a collection of copper sculptures created by Wilmington native Dumay Gorham, III. In this exhibit guests can expect to find creatures both real and imagined, from hummingbirds to gargoyles located throughout Airlie Gardens until October 25th.
Airlie Gardens, located at 300 Airlie Road, is a 67-acre public garden owned and operated by New Hanover County. The mission of Airlie Gardens is to be an historic public garden with cultural and environmental education programs that serve the residents and visitors of New Hanover County.
