NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – New Hanover County’s Register of Deeds Office and Vital Records Section will host a “Grand Opening” on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. at New Hanover County’s newly renovated 320 Chestnut Street building on the first floor, Suite 120.
We encourage citizens and county employees to come and take a short tour of the new facility and receive an overview of the Vitals Records services and meet our dedicated staff.
The Register of Deeds Office will be relocating to 320 Chestnut Street on April 1, with all current services still provided. In addition, a new “Curbside Assistance Program” will allow the disabled, handicapped and elderly to call from a designated parking space in the outside lot and staff will assist customers at their vehicle.
We encourage all Veterans with a DD214 to bring that in to the Register of Deeds Office at 320 Chestnut Street, Suite 102 or 230 Government Center Drive, Suite 180. Upon recording the DD214, Veterans will receive a free discount card, with their picture, to be used at local participating businesses.
We welcome and encourage citizens to take advantage of this opportunity and come out to see our new office, meet our amazing staff and take a short tour, while enjoying light refreshments as you see firsthand how the County is moving forward with innovation and dedication for our citizens.
