Fiber-based Technology Provides Opportunities for New Jobs in New Hanover County

New Hanover County, NC – The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners joined the Wilmington International Airport Authority, Wilmington Business Development, City of Wilmington, and AT&T to announce that the ILM Business Park is the first international airport in the United States to be certified as “AT&T Fiber Ready.”

“Utilizing the Pathways to Prosperity report…we are focusing our decisions that will target sector industries that will result in quality business, and good paying jobs,” said New Hanover County Board of Commissioners Chairman Beth Dawson. “This fiber ready designation gives our economic developers an additional benefit to utilize to attract new jobs.”
