NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – New Hanover County Fire Rescue will be breaking ground on a new fire station to replace Station 16 in Ogden. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Monday, July 31 at 10 a.m. at the site of the current fire station, located at 7375 Market Street. The public and media are invited to attend.
The current 8,800 square foot fire station, built in 1961, will be replaced by a 13,706 square-foot masonry and steel-framed building that will serve as a modern and efficient public safety facility for decades to come.
