NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – New Hanover County’s (NHC) facilities and attractions that are open on the weekends will operate on a modified schedule this Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7.
The following locations will be open on Saturday, noon-5 p.m. and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.:
On the first Sunday of every month, there is free admission for New Hanover County residents, students, and employees to visit Cape Fear Museum, Airlie Gardens, and the Arboretum (which is always free of charge). Residents will be able to visit these attractions for free this Sunday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
The NHC Landfill will operate extended hours on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The landfill, as is customary, will be closed Sunday.
