NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – The public is invited to attend a Contract Signing Ceremony between New Hanover County Government and Tides, Inc. on Tuesday, September 4 at 3:30 p.m. Tides is a non-profit organization that provides evidence-based treatment services to women with opioid use disorder who are pregnant, anticipating pregnancy, or postpartum. The program is based on a decade of sustainable treatment within the UNC Hospital system. New Hanover County is funding a three-year pilot with Tides, providing $315,360 each year, to secure treatment for 24 women in New Hanover County.

Where: NHC Historic Courthouse (24 North 3rd Street) in Room 301
Who: New Hanover County Commission Chairman Woody White and Tides, Inc. Founder Dr. William Johnstone will provide brief comments followed by the contract signing
