NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – New Hanover County Fire Rescue is hosting a dedication ceremony for the new Fire Station 16 in Ogden. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at 7375 Market Street. The public and media are invited to attend.

The newly constructed 13,700 square-foot masonry and steel-framed station replaced an old station built in 1968. The new facility is designed for today’s emergency services, featuring larger bay doors, private individual sleeping areas, and specific decontamination areas to provide safety for fire personnel.

The $4.6 million building was funding by fire services district fees and will serve as a modern and efficient public safety facility for decades to come.

Due to limited on-site parking, ribbon cutting attendees are asked to park at Ogden Baptist Church, located at 7121 Market Street. A shuttle will be provided.
