The adventure begins in Museum Park as wizards are sorted into local houses and begin earning jeweled house points. Some of the event stations and activities for the evening include:

  • Answer wizarding riddles and trivia
  • Make a wand and wizard hat
  • Compete in broom races
  • Hold ghostly bubbles in the palm of your hand
  • Observe the astronomical wonders of the night sky
  • Create shimmery lucky concoctions
  • Dissect owl pellets to discover what they eat
  • Study wizarding creatures and potions
  • And compete for the Wizarding House Cup!

A contest for best wizard hat created at the event will be held at 8:30 p.m. The Wizarding House Cup will be awarded with chocolate prizes at 9 p.m. Many thanks to our event partners – the witches and wizards of the Cape Fear Astronomical Society and the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase and include A&M’s Red Food Truck and Bombers Bev Co. Wizard dress is highly encouraged.
