NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Several New Hanover County leaders have been recognized recently with awards, nominations, and appointments for their work in the community and with the county:
County Manager Chris Coudriet has been recognized as an “Influencer” on the Business Journal’s WilmingtonBiz 100 list. This honor recognizes Mr. Coudriet as a change maker, in front of and behind the scenes, impacting Southeastern North Carolina’s business landscape through his leadership of the county and through the partnerships he has fostered.
Assistant County Manager Tufanna Bradley-Thomas has been appointed to the Advisory Committee for the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Her active involvement in the community will provide an important perspective on the committee to ensure effective Aquarium programs and operations.
Chief Communications Officer Jessica Loeper earned WILMA Magazine’s Women to Watch Award in the public service category and has also been honored with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce and StarNews Media’s 40 Under 40 Award. These awards recognize her work in transforming the county’s communications, and her commitment to keep the community informed and engaged.
Emergency Management Director Steven Still is a finalist in the First Responder category as part of the Greater Wilmington Business Journal’s Health Care Heroes awards program for his dedication during emergencies in our community, most notably his leadership of the county’s emergency efforts during Hurricane Florence.
Librarian Scooter Hayes has also been honored with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce and StarNews Media’s 40 Under 40 Award for his innovative and dynamic style that brings life to books and promotes early learning.
