NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Notice is hereby given that the New Hanover County Commission on African American History, Heritage and Culture will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. in Conference Room 500 at the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.

The meeting is open to the public with social distancing guidelines followed and will also be available for the public by calling 1-336-218-2051 and enter Conference ID: 688 550 961#.

The commission’s purpose is to research, investigate, discover, preserve, collect, catalog and celebrate African American culture, history, historical areas, sites and landmarks of focus in the county through collaboration with numerous organizations and individuals that have historical knowledge and expertise. The commission will educate the community, as well as establish programs and initiatives that preserve and protect New Hanover County’s African American history, heritage, arts and culture.
