All appointments for this week’s COVID-19 vaccinations through New Hanover County Health and Human Services’ Public Health are now full.

As additional vaccine supply is received, the county will open additional appointments to ensure that even more people who are eligible can get the vaccine. To receive text or email alerts when additional appointments through Public Health are open, residents can sign up for COVID-19 updates here.

In addition to Public Health, the following entities are also receiving direct supplies of the vaccine and administering those to the community:

  • NHRMC: Vaccinations can be scheduled at nhrmc.org/coronavirus or by calling (910) 662-2020 when appointments are available. Sign up for NHRMC’s vaccine availability email notifications here.
  • Walgreens: Vaccinations can be scheduled online here for participating local Walgreen locations when appointments are available.

New Hanover County Public Health plans to continue vaccinating healthcare workers, adults 65 and older, and child care and school staff, and does not plan to move fully into Group 3 of the state’s vaccination plan until a greater percentage of the county’s adults over 65 have been vaccinated. The county will have small outreach efforts into Group 3, but will not be opening appointments fully to this group yet.
