NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – The New Hanover County Office of Diversity and Equity is partnering with Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) and McDonalds of Wilmington on Gigs for Graduates, a jobs and college initiative for 2021 high school graduates and teens.

The free event will be held on Sunday, July 25 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the downtown Public Library, located at 201 Chestnut Street, on the third floor. Graduates and teens will be able to meet with CFCC representatives to learn about free tuition assistance and sign up for admission for the fall semester, and McDonalds representatives will be on site to interview teens 16 and older for more than 200 job openings at local stores.

“I want to thank McDonalds and CFCC for partnering with us on this new initiative,” said Chief Diversity and Equity Officer Linda Thompson. “I believe this will help connect our community’s youth with the people, jobs, and college resources that will help them take a positive next step in their education and career.”
